As you may have already heard, we regret to inform you that Con*Cept 2012 has been cancelled. This for a few reasons, the main ones being that we were not able to find enough volunteers to organise the event, as well as our proximity to the World Fantasy Convention in Toronto which made it hard for us to find Guests of Honour. Please note that any rumours about the convention shutting down permanently are false; the Board has voted in favour of continuing onwards in future years.

 

Also, Con*Cept is currently undergoing some organisational changes. As of the end of May 2012, Cathy Palmer-Lister is resigning from the Board of Directors. Christopher Hammock will be taking her place as president of the Board as of June 1st. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Cathy for her hard work and dedication over the years and wish her a very happy and peaceful retirement.

 

Rest assured that Con*Cept will make every effort to return in 2013, but as always we will need help from anyone who is willing to donate a little of their time. Con*Cept is a fan run event, put together by fans for fans. So anyone who is willing to help us organise Con*Cept 2013, please contact us at conceptsff@conceptsff.ca and we will discuss in which areas you can pitch in.
