Art Show

Every year, Con*Cept is proud to showcase its diverse art show. The show is open to all amateur or professional artists. Show us your talent and love of science fiction and fantasy, and let your imagination run wild.

Basic Requirements
All entries should be of your own composition, in the medium of your choice, on a theme consistent with the nature of the convention. This includes, but is not limited to, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Astronomy, Horror, and Humour. 

We provide hooks to hang your artwork on our pegboards, but make sure your two-dimensional artwork is ready to be hung with the appropriate backing wires. (Note: Both two- and three dimensional art MUST have the name and address of the artist,securely bound to it; we will provide all artists with the labels required once they have registered.) We strongly recommend that you provide appropriate packaging for sculptures. (Note: We usually have very limited space for three-dimensional art; please inquire early.) We are not accepting mail-in art this year. All artists or an agent of the artist must be present at the convention.

Entry Fees
Rental of one 4 foot by 4 foot pegboard display panel or equivalent table space is $10.00, and a 10% commission will be collected onall sales. We have limited panels, so reserve early.

Print Shop
A special counter will be set up for sales of reproductions. There is a token fee of $1.00 per artist and Con*Cept will collect a 10% commission on sales. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference going to artists who are also renting display space. We suggest that you provide envelopes for the convenience of your customers. Art Show Set-up/pick-up and schedule

Pre-registration
Registering in advance will insure that you have a spot to hang your art when the show starts. We cannot emphasize enough the importance of this! Note that payment must have been received for your registration to be valid. 

**Please note that you must be registered at the convention to participate in the art show.**

Agents
If you are unable to bring your art yourself, you can delegate the task to a trusted agent. Please note that we will ask for signed written instructions, entitling your agent to receive proceeds for sales and get back your art. This is even more important if you want to bring your art, but ask a friend to pick it up for you at closing time. You would not want just anybody to leave with your treasures, would you?

Special Requirements
If you have specific needs, such as a power outlet or an extra-large floor space, please let us know in advance. We will do our best to accommodate you, but miracles are best performed with a bit of preparation.

The exhibit room hours

Friday: 6:00 pm – 10 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday : 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Artists may begin setting up at 10:00 AM
on Friday, to be announced, and checkout
will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday TBA.
