Here is a list I compiled in the year 2001 of my top 20 all time favorite albums of the rock era. A few years back I added #21-30. While this list can change from time to time but it remains pretty constant. You will notice that the list is heavy in the 1980's. The early 80's was my high school years and remains my favorite musical era, especially the British invasion, Culture Club, Eurythmics, Duran Duran and Tears for Fears to name a few. These albums are what I consider to be the best not just for a single or two but for every track. You will notice that there is only "studio" albums, and no "live" or "greatest hits" on the list. I believe they belong in a different category.
